“Welcome to the website on helping young adolescents re-engage with their education. The aims of this site are to make you aware of the benefits of conducting narrative interventions with adolescents at school. The Narrative Solutions approach is rooted in a research project, funded by the Nuffield Foundation, in which we examined how excluded adolescents made sense of their experiences of school and the influences their perceptions of school had on their educational engagement. The findings from the research project then contributed to the Narrative Solutions Project piloted in two secondary schools in South East England. In this website we describe how the interventions were conducted, provide some case examples, and explain how the intervention may be implemented in other secondary schools. Finally we have put in a bid for further funding from the Education Endowment Foundation and if you are interested in taking part then please get in touch.
